Top 10 Action Items for 2011
Yep…it’s that time of the year again for resolutions and a whole massive collection of Top 10 posts. Well, here’s mine:
Jose’s Top 10 Personal Action Items for 2011
It’s important for us to constantly improve and reading is a great way to learn and grow. I’m looking forward to reading some good books in 2011.
The element of synergy can come into play when we get out and meet others. LinkedIn is a great starting point but so are the local chambers of commerce and young professionals networking group. I’m looking forward to meeting my new friends, clients, vendors, and partners in crime from Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, and San Luis Obispo, to Ventura + beyond!
2010 saw a nice increase in my blogging efforts and I am truly planning to take it to another level in 2011. Why you ask? Because content is still king!
I can network and blog all I want but if the focus is on me then I’ve already lost. Point. Match. Checkmate! The art and ability of doing things for others is a skill set we can’t abandon.
As a young + driven entrepreneur, it is my driving desire to help others share their story using today’s new media tools in an arena where conversation is the order of the day. Gone are the days of one-way messaging and push + pray strategies. It is indeed time to engage! (Thanks Brian Solis for great tips, insights, and tools in 2010!)
There’s a lot of competition these days in terms of social media agencies and related gigs. It actually resembles the early dot com days. The only companies that are going to stick around are those that innovate and rethink the game. If we’re all saying “Let’s engage!” it just doesn’t hold that same ring to it. Let’s actually capture attention and generate true business results.
4. LATISM 2012
What can I say? The opportunity to join up with some great gente such as Giovanni Rodriguez and Jesse Luna is one that I can’t pass up. I’m looking forward to being a part of this important Latinos in Social Media initiative. Si…si se puede!
What good is it if I meet a bunch of people I can’t call my friends? That’s the beauty of authentic connections.
All the best business and new clients don’t mean much if you can’t share the progress and prosperity with family. That is my goal and prayer…to give back to those I love.
This is where it all starts. My faith in GOD is the pillar of my ability to do all good that my heart desires.
Here’s to a great 2011! Happy New Year!
